Nathan had been helping me prepare for a half iron man. He is professional and understanding of my goals, yet flexible enough where I can be successful. Previously, I’ve trained via training guides or groups. The problem with that is when I’ve got questions I’m left to the internet to google for answers. Because of my schedule, I’ve done 100% of my training online with him. He asks great questions so I feel the answer is specifically for me. He also never takes longer than 24 hours to respond. The training plan also doesn’t take a degree in PE to understand which is helpful !!

The other thing is he’s an amazing athlete himself. That gives me confidence that he knows what he’s talking about.

In summary, I’ve had friends recommend Nathan for years. One of my friends said it best. Trust Nathan , he will get you through the race. I believe that and think about it every time I get nervous about my race. I think that speaks volumes.

About 10 years ago I started getting serious calf cramps and having to drop out of races and training runs. When I had to drop out of the Chicago marathon 5 years ago I thought my 40 year running career was over. Giving up the sport that I loved seemed depressing but inevitable. I spent a few years going from one physical therapist to another with little success. Three years ago I decided to begin working with Nathan Wadsworth. Nathan pushed me hard to build up my core and glute muscles. He recognized weaknesses my body had developed over the years and got me back to running. After a year of hard work, not only could I successfully race Pikes Peak, I was able to run multiple marathons including Boston and my first 100 mile trail race. In addition, Nathan has a wealth of information and creative ideas on how to further develop my body, training, racing and overall health. I am in debt to his knowledge and highly recommend him to get through a difficult sports related issue.

I came to Nathan a few years ago when I was trying to recover after a stress fracture. He helped me build my strength so I could start running again. Since that time, he has taught me to become smarter about setting goals and learning how to hydrate and fuel for longer distances. He has been writing training plans for me so I can build my fitness level and accomplish the goals I set. I have done both personal training and group sessions with him and he always makes every session fun and informative. I asked Nathan for a training plan for a 60 mile mountain bike race with 45 minutes being my longest prior race effort. I trained for three months and couldn’t have asked for anything more at the start or finish line. My training workload was perfect and all my questions were answered ranging from nutrition to race strategy. I crushed my goal for the race and continue to set PR’s months later.
